A few words about the record itself
In Poland, your parish is the one where you have lived for at least three months. The parish priest is your pastor.
If you've been away from your Polish parish for more than six months, you need to register in a new parish. In the UK, Polish parishes are called personal parishes, not territorial parishes.
Our parish is the one you have been attending for at least 3 months and in which you have completed a simple form of registration – enrollment.
The word "enroll" can be placed in quotation marks, as membership in the parish is not determined by this act, but by actual participation in the life of the church. This "enrollment" is more about completing formalities so that, in appropriate situations, the parish can acknowledge its parishioner, meaning that the parish priest can issue the appropriate documents if necessary.

Why a record?
The most common situations in which we need to be sure that someone belongs to our parish are:
baby's baptism
child's First Holy Communion
school certificate
confirmation
drawing up a pre-marital protocol, wedding
when someone is asked to be a godfather/godmother
funeral

The adopted form of registration for the parish also gives the pastor the opportunity to contact people who identify with our parish in the event of exceptional situations or events.

Go to your pastor
